The Rotation Button:
As if just browsing the File Browser is not enough, there is more to do. We can actually rotate images within the file browser.
To rotate a file, Click on any image file, then go to the bottom of the screen you will see a rotate button. As shown in the below Picture.

This is going to rotate the image clockwise 90 Degrees. Click on it with the image selected. Now you will get flag (Warning window) with Warning, Now Adobe Photoshop is saying “Rotation is only applied to the thumbnail until the files are opened in Photoshop. Photoshop will automatically apply the rotation after the files are being opened”. As shown in below Picture.

This means that it’s not going to rewrite the your original file when you rotate it, but if you choose to open file in Photoshop workspace then it will be rotated and will be replaced by your original image file. If you don’t want to be flagged every time you rotate the image, then check the checkbox at the bottom of the flag and press OK.
Opening in Photoshop:
Now double click on the image which you just rotated to open in Photoshop, and you will have a rotated image in the Photoshop as shown in the below figure.

This is not actually yet rewritten to your original file. Now close the opened image. You will get the following dialog box.

Clicking yes on the dialog box will actually rewrite your original file placed in your hard drive. Clicking No will discard the changes made and will keep the original file.
Rotating Anticlockwise:
If you want to rotate an image Anticlockwise, then hold down your Alt key on your keyboard (option key for Mac) and then click on the Rotate button, it will rotate the image anticlockwise.
Rotating Multiple Files:
Hold down your Ctrl key (Command on Mac) and select multiple files in File Browser. After you have selected, click on the rotate button at the bottom of the File Browser which i introduced earlier. This will rotate all the files selected.
