I have opened an Image in Photoshop. Shown below.

You can download this image at HERE.
I want to rotate this image, but I want to rotate it slightly, not 90 degrees or 180 degrees.
So go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary, as shown below.
I have opened an Image in Photoshop. Shown below.

I want to rotate this image, but I want to rotate it slightly, not 90 degrees or 180 degrees.
So go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary, as shown below.
I have opened an image in the Photoshop shown below.

I opened an image in Photoshop shown below.

I have an image here (shown below - Zoomed to 12.5%), and i would like to add more canvas or area to it.

Canvas in Photoshop is roughly the image area, and that means I want to add more image area to this image in one of the sides.
I have opened an image in the Photoshop which looks like this. (Zoomed to 12.5%).

I want to resize this image for print. I want o resize it to 5/7 actually 5/7 is the print size. and I am going to use Auto Feature to do this.
I like to go head and show you how to resize images. Now before we get too deep into it I am going to show you some problems with resizing and sizing down. So we have kind of little understanding what Photoshop does to our images when we resize them.
I opened a small 2×2 pixels image in the Photoshop. You can download this image here. I zoomed in the image too 800%. The image looks like this.

One more thing we have with history palette is called Snapshot, and I automatically got the Snapshot of my document when I made it, and the snapshot was new, its at the Top of the list as highlighted below.

One of the greatest thing in Photoshop is the ability to Undo and Redo and multiple Undo. Start a new document. Pick up the Brush tool
in the Tools Bar . We will learn about this tool in the next lessons, but from now, just select it go on the document screen click and drag to make a mark. I did this in the Photoshop.

We like the way we work with. So we can me our custom palettes.
So what if you have managed your custom arrangement for your palettes. You docked it nested it , arranged it you likes. Now you want this arrangement later when you run your Photoshop.
You can actually save the arrangements of palettes in the Photoshop. To do so go to the ‘Windows’ Menu then ‘Workspace’ then ‘Save Workspace’. shown below.

Photoshop allows a lot of custom configuration palettes. Lets go look not only the Nester palettes but the docker palettes.
Now move any one palette onto the center of the screen, I pulled out the color palette which is shown below.

Adobe allows us to Collapse palettes. This is a very useful option if you don’t have enough room on the screen for your document. Collapsing palettes means you can only see the title and name of the palette and the rest of it is hidden. To collapse a palette double click on the name of the palette or the title bar as outlined below.

The palettes in the Photoshop are shown to the right by default, as shown below.

In conjunction of the Tool palette is the Options bar across the Top. as outlined below.

The Tools Palette is by default shown in the Photoshop, its located at the left side of the Photoshop. Click here to see the display of it.
You can also move your tool bar to any place, hold left click on your mouse at the top of the tool bar (outlined below) and drag your mouse.

Image Mat is the area around the image. In the Following Document I don’t see any image mat.

Open the navigator palette by Window > Menu, Shown below.

The hand tool is simply a tool for panning around on your images. Select the Hand Tool, its next to the magnifying glass (Zoom Tool). The Location of Hand Tool is shown below.

Zoom tool is the one which we are going to use to Zoom in and out of the image. So you can zoom in and see more details of the image.
In the Photoshop our Document tells us many many things. Open any image in your document. I opened a car image in the photoshop and it looks like this.
Create a new document with the following settings.
We will go ahead and create a brand new image document. So press Press Ctrl+N for PC and Command+N for Mac to open a dialog box for a new document. Now you can set sizes from presets or by putting in your own values. Lets see about the resolution. type 1 in the resolution area. You will see that at the top the image size has become small, please note that this is not the size of the image which we are going to save, its just the space this image will take in the memory. if you increase the depth of the resolution the image will be more fine. Note that increase the size of the image.
Once creating a Document, one of the more important feature that face us is one of the five document modes shown in this image:
So now, lets create a new document, but now we want to have pre-sets. Go to the ‘File’ Menu then ‘New’ or Ctrl+N. You will see this dialog box.

Now lets create our very first document in Photoshop. Go to the File Menu and Choose ‘New’. As shown in this picture.
If you have a lot of images in a folder that are not properly named i.e. 123-1223 etc. and you want to rename all the images at once. Then go to the fly out menu and choose Batch Rename, make sure you haven’t selected any image in the file browser. The following picture shows how to do so.
The great thing about File browser is, it allows me to move files to other places. To move a file into any other folder. Click on any image file in the File Browser and drag it to any other folder in the list of folders displayed at the left top of the File Browser. You can now select multiple files by pressing Ctrl + Click on the images (Command for Mac), and drag them to any other folder.
Note: You can only move files to other folders, you can’t move folders, you must do it by your Operating System.
The Rotation Button:
As if just browsing the File Browser is not enough, there is more to do. We can actually rotate images within the file browser.
You can view images in your File Browser by Ranks or by Different Thumb Sizes. Lets see how we change the different views, how we can view images within a folder. To do so there are a couple of different ways. Go to the bottom of the File browser you will see ‘Large with Rank’, its the default value set for the File Browser. As shown in below picture.
This is the new means that would be made to open files. So where is the File browser?. It is places in two locations. One is Windows Menu > File Browser and the other is File Menu > Browse, as shown in below Figures.

Now we Go ahead and open a file in Photoshop, there is a variety of ways to open a file. Go up to the File Menu and look for option called ‘Open’, This is just like you open files in other computer applications. Click on Open and you will be faced by a Open Dialog Box. Browse through the File in Your PC any choose any Image File, A picture of your own will do the best. When you have selected the image file press Open, this will open the picture in the Photoshop workspace. Now you can begin working on the Document. Don’t feel like we are done yet, There is actually a better way to open your files. And that’s we are going to look at it immediately after this. So the New method which I will introduce in Photoshop 7 is the ‘File Browser’.
